Fall Semester 2020
In the Fall Semester of 2020, I taught three classes, Still Photography I, Two Dimensional Design and Commercial Photography. Most of the art classes have been on-line this semester because of Covid. My Still Photography I Class met in person because we need to have use of the darkroom equipment. We used black and white film, a basic camera and processed all of our film and prints by hand. After all of the IPhone selfies and the glut of digital images on Instagram and other internet apps, is it refreshing to get back to the basics, taking 36 photographs at a time. The first group are photographs by my students that were chosen for the Juried Student Show. It is a big compliment for the students, especially since my class is for beginners. Some of the photographs were also from the Summer Digital Class and the Alternative Photography Class. The rest of the photographs are a small selection from the Still Photography I class.
