Still Photography Class Spring 2020

Black and White Photography 2020

Our class, Still Photography, was interrupted by the virus. The students are now taking Digital photographs instead of using the darkroom to complete the course.

The students are required to do an assortment
of assignments. Initially, they learn to use a manual film camera. Then they are required to create images that have meaning and work together as a series.
This is a small selection of their artworks.

My topic pertains to Coronavirus and the effect it's had on our daily lives. The images show how empty both Somerville and Princeton are as a result of the virus and the precautions me and my boyfriend now have to take as a result. (I live in Somerville and my boyfriend lives in Princeton). You can see how once lively street are now empty. Parking spots are no longer filled up like they used to be. Very sparing numbers of people are outside in general.
